14) What is the primary lesson that the laver is teaching us? Ps. 24:3–5
Commitment The priests had to wash their hands and feet before ministering at the sanctuary. God is so holy that even the least particle of dirt is defiling to His presence and death would be the inevitable result. When Moses was in the presence of God he was commanded to put off his shoes for the ground where he stood was holy. (Ex. 3:5) The great lesson is that the laver teaches is that we must see our sins in the great moral mirror, God’s Law, and be cleansed from our sins through the blood of the Lamb. If we have not had this experience we are not yet ready “to meet our God.” (Amos 4:12) Will you make that decision to be washed from your sins by the blood of Christ Jesus and allow Him to make you holy as He is holy?
