Brief Summary of our Beliefs 1. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, which makes us wise unto salvation, and corrects, reproves and instructs us in righteousness. It is our desire to not only believe but also to strive to live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. [2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21; Matthew 4:4; Acts 17:10, 11; 2 Timothy 2:15; John 5:39; John 17:17] 2. We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal God, but came in the likeness of sinful flesh and died in our place that we might have life. It is through His death on the cross that we can be saved from our sins by grace through faith, not of works. As we accept Him as our Savior and the Lord of our life, He will forgive our sins and give us the power to live in obedience to Him. [John 1:1-3; Micah 5:2; John 8:58; Romans 8:2-4; Galatians 2:8-10; Matthew 1:21; Acts 4:12; Acts 16:30, 31; Acts 5:32; 1 John 1:9; Luke 13:24; 14:33; 9:23; 1 Corinthians 15:31] 3. We believe that the Ten Commandments, as given on Sinai and reiterated in the New Testament, are a law of love given by our Lord to be written in our hearts and minds. It is our purpose through the power of our indwelling Savior to live in obedience to the whole law. [Hebrews 8:10; John 14:15; 1 John 2:3, 4; 3:4; 5:3; James 2:10-12; Romans 3:31; 13:10; Matthew 19:16-19; 22:36-40; Ecclesiastes 12:13, 14; Revelation 12:17; 14:12; 22:14] 4. We believe that the seventh day of the week, commonly called Saturday, is God’s holy Sabbath day. Because of our love for the Lord, we set aside the hours from sunset Friday to sunset Saturday as the holy Sabbath hours and devote these hours to drawing closer to our Lord while refraining from our work, own pleasure and common cares. [Exodus 16:23-26; Exodus 20:8-11; 31:13-17; Ezekiel 20:12, 20; Luke 4:16; Matthew 24:20; Mark 2:27, 28; Luke 23:54-56; 24:1; Acts 13:42-44; 17:2; Hebrews 4:9-11; Isaiah 66:22, 23; Genesis 2:1-3; Leviticus 23:32; Isaiah 58:12-14; Nehemiah 13:15-18] 5. We believe that Jesus is ministering for us in heaven even now and that according to prophecy we are living in the great judgment day. We believe that as the judgment is transpiring even now, the Lord is in a special way calling us to repentance and a holy life. [Hebrews 4:14-16; 8:1-5; 9:23, 24; Revelation 1:12, 13; 8:3, 4; 11:19; Romans 4:25; 8:34; 1 Timothy 2:5; Acts 17:31; 24:25; Revelation 14:7; Daniel 7:9-13; Daniel 8:14; Leviticus 16; 23:27-32; Hebrews 10:26, 27] 6. We believe that prophecy is fulfilling all around us and that we are living in the last remnants of time. We believe that Jesus is coming again very soon and we are striving to prepare for that great event. [John 14:1-3; Acts 1:9-11; Revelation 1:7; Titus 2:13; Matthew 24:30, 31; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18; 1 Corinthians 15:51-54; 2 Thessalonians 1:6-10; 2:1, 8; Revelation 22:7, 12, 20]
