Your Last Chance to be Saved

Intro

“Iceberg, right ahead” was the fated cry of the lookout of the Titanic. Could the tragedy of the Titanic take place again, but this time on a gargantuan scale? I’ll be back in a moment with the prophetic perspective on Your Last Chance to be Saved.

Message

Hello, this is Cody Francis with Prophetic Perspectives. The Titanic has gone down in history as the most well known naval disaster of all time. The tragedy, the intrigue and the rediscovery have combined to form an almost mystical tale. A couple of times on that fated night, warnings were sounded that large icebergs were ahead, but no heed was paid. Then shortly before impact, the message was given, “Iceberg, right ahead!” As the Titanic swerved to miss the iceberg, the hull was buckled allowing water to start pouring into five of the watertight compartments, one too many to stay afloat. The lifeboats began to be loaded, but unfortunately the people preferred their warm cabins than the wintry air and many of the lifeboats were lowered at half capacity. Still many lives could have been saved if only the boat within sight distance had responded to the call of distress. What a tragedy indeed! As we think of the terrible loss of life and ponder how events could have been different, we are lead to think of an even more catastrophic disaster coming upon this world. Warning after warning was given to the Titanic, but not heeded. Then, it was too late! The last warning had been given, but only to fall on deaf ears. It was the Titanic’s last chance to be saved, but it was not heeded. Then many of the people, complacent and comfortable in their cabins heeded not their last chance to be saved and perished in the icy waters. While we see that the Titanic had a last chance to be saved, will there really be a last chance to be saved for this entire world? When will it be? What will the warnings be of this last chance to be saved? Let us turn our hearts to the Lord in prayer as we turn to Bible prophecy to look at the subject, Your Last Chance to be Saved.
