Have You Been Saved? 

I.        When we accept Jesus, we are saved.

A.     We each need to “be saved”

1.      Eph. 2:8 – by grace you have been saved through faith

2.      2 Tim. 1:9 – saved by grace given before time began

3.      Titus 3:5 – through washing & renewing of Holy Spirit

4.      1 Tim. 2:4 – desires all to be saved

B.     What are we saved from?

1.      From trespasses – Eph. 2:5

2.      From our past sins – Rom. 3:24, 25

3.      Condemnation – Rom. 8:1

C.     How are we saved?

1.      Whoever calls on the name of the Lord – Joel 2:32

2.      Enter sheepfold by Jesus – John 10:9

3.      Confess w/mouth & believe w/heart – Rom. 10:9

4.      Faith stretches out like repentant woman – Luke 7:50

5.      Website – prophetic perspectives – “Only Way to be Saved”

II.     When we live with Jesus, we are being saved.

A.     The Bible does not just put salvation as past, but also present

1.      Added to the church those being saved – Acts 2:47

2.      Cross is power of God to those who are being saved – 1 Cor. 1:18

B.     How are we being saved?

1.      Strive to enter the narrow gate – Luke 13:24, 26, 27

2.      Fight the good fight – 2 Tim. 4:7

3.      Press forward to the prize – Phil. 3:14

4.      Continuous work that needs to take place in our lives

a.       Not a one time magic wand

b.      Lord has promised to finish, not already finished – Phil. 1:6

c.       Christian life is a battle & a march

d.      Battle temptation, world & self—through power Christ victors!

C.     Thomas battling w/unbelief & doubt; John 20:27; Rev. 21:7, 8, 14

III.   When Jesus comes, we shall be saved.

A.     Salvation is also future

1.      Acts 15:11 – we shall be saved in the same manner as they

2.      Matt. 24:13 – he who endures to the end shall be saved

3.      Rom. 5:9 – we shall be saved from wrath through him

B.     When shall we be saved?

1.      When Jesus comes – 1 Thes. 4:17

2.      Rev. 21:24 – in NJ truly, fully & completely saved

C.     Fred Burt – drowning ocean; rescuer; fell back; on ship!

1.      Will you choose to accept Jesus & be saved?

2.      Will you choose to allow Jesus to save your from your sins and thus continue to be saved?

3.      Will you determine to be ready for Jesus comes so that you will be saved?

4.      Don’t delay to grab the life preserver & be saved
